Raised in the rugged beauty of Colorado and later finding his stride in the lush landscapes of Oregon, Jerry brings a rich and varied background to everything he does. With a master’s degree in counseling education from the University of Oregon, he has spent years guiding young people as a high school guidance counselor at Stoneman Douglas High School.

Before stepping into the world of education, Jerry carved out a successful career in radio, where his voice and personality were well known to many. Outside the classroom and the studio, he has shared his passion for the ocean as a scuba diving instructor for over 35 years, introducing countless students to the wonders beneath the surface. Whether he’s on deck, behind a mic, or in the counselor’s office, Captain Jerry is a trusted guide—both on land and at sea.

Introducing Instructor/Divemaster Kim Turmaine—a highly accomplished diver, dedicated educator, and passionate explorer of the underwater world. Born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Kim followed her love of learning and adventure to the University of Central Florida, where she earned her degree before embarking on a dual path in education and scuba diving.

By day, Kim inspires young minds as a math teacher at West Glades Middle School. Outside the classroom, she’s earned a reputation as a top-tier diving professional, holding an impressive array of certifications and accolades. She is a PADI Master Scuba Instructor, SDI TDI Instructor, and certified PADI Divemaster. Her advanced technical qualifications include TDI Advanced Trimix, Extended Range Advanced Nitrox, Stage Decompression Diver, and NSS/CDS Cave Diver—credentials that reflect her depth of expertise and fearless commitment to diving in some of the most challenging environments.

Whether she’s solving equations or navigating submerged cave systems, Kim brings precision, passion, and a deep respect for both education and the ocean.

Meet Bryce Turmaine, a true waterman whose life has been shaped by the sea since he first stepped aboard the OCD at just three years old. With a passion for the ocean that took hold early—he began collecting fins before most kids could swim—Bryce became scuba certified at age 10 and hasn’t looked back. Now, with over 16 years of diving experience under his belt, he’s a licensed U.S. Coast Guard boat captain and a certified scuba instructor.

Bryce lives and breathes the salt life, spending his days spearfishing, lobstering, guiding dive trips, and exploring the underwater world he calls home. Whether he’s leading others on unforgettable ocean adventures or chasing his next big catch, Bryce is living proof that when you follow your passion, every day is the best day on the water.
